A cleanliness drive was inaugurated at the Edukkanam Riverview Point tourist destination as part of the month-long Swachhata Hi Seva campaign running from September 17 to October 17, 2026. Health Standing Committee Chairperson R.K. Shaiju welcomed the gathering, and Vice Chairperson K. Soya presided over the event. Standing Committee Chairpersons Dhanisha P. and Jisha P.V. also addressed the attendees. In addition to the councilors, Haritha Karma Sena members, Kudumbashree workers, local residents, and health department staff actively participated. A human chain was also formed as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva initiatives.
